This chapter shall be known as the Clinton Mobile Food Vendor and Pushcarts Ordinance and shall apply to mobile food vendors and pushcarts operating within the city limits of Clinton. The purpose of this chapter is to protect residents of the city against fraud, unfair competition and to preserve the general health, safety and welfare of the city and its citizens by regulating the licensing and operation of mobile food vendors to ensure they are in compliance with local zoning ordinances, applicable provisions of local fire codes, as well as all other laws enacted to safeguard the city and its residents.
