With respect to existing trees in new developments, all trees on the site shall remain unless they require removal for the placement of streets, buildings, utilities, drainage or public recreational purposes. Trees over six inches in diameter that are to remain shall be marked with a red band and be protected with snow fences or other suitable enclosure prior to excavation.
