SCHEDULE III: SPECIAL SPEED RESTRICTIONS.

   (A)   In accordance with requirements of the State Department of Transportation, or whenever the Council shall determine upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that any speed limit listed in § 73.02 is greater or less than is reasonable or safe under the conditions found to exist at any intersection or other place or upon any part of the city street system, the Council shall determine and adopt by ordinance a higher or lower speed limit as it deems reasonable and safe at the location.

   (B)   The following special speed zones have been established:

 

Special 15 mph Speed Zones

A speed in excess of 15 mph is unlawful on any of the following designated streets or parts thereof

Bobetta Court

 

Special 20 mph Speed Zones

A speed in excess of 20 mph is unlawful on any of the following designated streets or parts thereof

Second Street from Eighth Avenue South to First Avenue

Third Street from Second Avenue South to Seventh Avenue South

Main Avenue from Second Street to Harding Street

Twenty-Fifth Avenue North from Fourth Street to Ninth Street

North Ninth Street from Twenty-Fifth Avenue North to Twenty-Eighth Avenue North

Twenty-Eighth Avenue North from Ninth Street to Fourth Street

North Third Street between Cragmor Drive and the entrance to Eagle Point Park

 

Special 25 mph Speed Zones

A speed in excess of 25 mph is unlawful on any of the following designated streets or parts thereof

Second Street from Main Avenue to Twenty-Ninth Avenue North

Second Avenue South from Seventh Street to Bluff Boulevard

Fourth Street from Second Avenue South to Seventh Avenue South

Seventh Avenue South from Argyle Court to Melrose Court

Tenth Street from Eighth Avenue South to Eleventh Avenue South

Sixteenth Street from Second Avenue South to Eighth Avenue South

Bluff Boulevard from College Avenue to South Nineteenth Street

Springdale Drive from Bluff Boulevard to North Drive of Mt. St. Clare Dormitory

Twenty-Seventh Avenue South from South Fourteenth Street to South Eighteenth Street

Second Street from Twenty-Third Avenue North to Main Avenue

Main Avenue from North Fifth Street to North Second Street

Bluff Boulevard from South Fourteenth Street to 900 feet westerly of South Fourteenth Street

South Fourteenth Street from Bluff Boulevard to Eleventh Avenue South

 

Special 30 mph Speed Zones

Deer Creek Road from U.S. 67 east to city limits

Lincolnway from Fourteenth Street to Sixteenth Street

Stockwell Lane from U.S. Highway 136 to U.S. Highway 67

U.S. Highway 67 from Thirty-Third Avenue North to Thirty-Ninth Avenue North

Springdale Drive from North Drive to Mt. St. Clare Dormitory to Thirteenth Avenue North

Manufacturing Drive from Nineteenth Street to U.S. 30

U.S. Highway 136 from North Thirteenth Street to city limits

On Thirteenth Avenue North from Mill Creek Parkway to west city limits

U.S. Highway 67 from its south junction with U.S. Highway 30 to the south city limits

Forty-Fourth Avenue South from 200 feet east of Rock Creek to South Fifty-Fourth Street

Mill Creek Parkway from U.S. Highway 30 to U.S. Highway 136 (Main Avenue)

Second Avenue South from .8 mile west of Mill Creek Parkway

South Sixty-Second Street from Second Avenue Road to U.S. Highway 30

Deer Creek Road from U.S. Highway 67 west and north to city limits

South Sixtieth Street from U.S. Highway 30 to Harts Mill Road

U.S. Highway 30 from a point 3,055 feet west of Mill Creek Parkway westerly 3,000 feet to a point 582 feet east of South Fortieth Street
