§ 34.43  STANDARDS FOR SERVICE.
   (A)   Reserve police officers must comply with the minimum standards for reserve police officers as established by the state’s Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education. Minimum standards are so established, which must be fulfilled before a person appointed as a reserve police officer may carry a weapon or otherwise act as a peace officer.
   (B)   The Chief of Police shall establish qualifications and standards of training for members of the Police Reserve Force and shall establish rules and regulations governing reserve police officers.
   (C)   The Chief of Police may establish minimum physical, mental, educational and moral standards as used by the Police Reserve Force, but in no case shall the standards be less than those established by the state’s Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education.
