(A) General duties. The Mayor shall perform all duties incumbent upon an executive head of a city government as provided in the statutes of the state.

(B) Veto power. The Mayor shall have power to veto any ordinance or resolution of the City Council by filing his or her objections with the Secretary within three days after its passage, and it shall require a majority vote of all Aldermen to pass any such resolution or ordinance over his or her veto.
