§ 31.02  OATH OF CITY OFFICERS.
   Each person elected by the electors of the city or by the City Council to any city office shall, before entering upon the duties of such office, take and subscribe the official oath prescribed in the Constitution of the state; and the oath shall be filed with the City Secretary.
