(A) Firefighters shall be appointed by the Fire Chief with the approval of the Town Manager. Such appointees shall be residents whose business activities are normally within the confines of the town and who have telephones in their homes. Firefighters shall be subject to supervision by the Fire Chief or his or her authorized representative.
(B) Volunteer firefighters may be dismissed by the Fire Chief, with the approval of the Town Manager, or by the Town Manager alone, with or without cause.
