743.08 FISHING HOURS; PROHIBITED FISHING EQUIPMENT.
   (a)    No person shall take or catch any fish by angling in any waters within the boundaries of the Park District, or engage in fishing those waters without a valid Ohio fishing license, except participants of Cleveland Metroparks staff or contractor-lead programs at inland fishing areas in the Park District that are not under full or joint Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife management jurisdiction. These inland fishing areas would include, but are not limited to, Wallace Lake, Ledge Lake, Judge's Lake, Beyer's pond, Acacia ponds, Ranger Lake, Oxbow Lagoon (Rocky River Reservation), Sunset Pond (North Chagrin Nature Center), Strawberry Pond, Astorhurst pond, and Bunns Lake.
   (b)   Every angler required to be licensed shall carry the license and exhibit the license to any person. Failure to do so is an offense under this section.
   (c)   No person shall take or possess more fish than allowed by posted signage, or allowed by Park District Regulations, in any body of water within the boundaries of the Cleveland except for Lake Erie and its tributaries, which shall be subject to State Wildlife Regulations.
   (d)   Fish shall be taken by angling only, unless otherwise provided for in the Ohio Revised Code and within the appropriate season. Bowfishing, bait minnow and seine collection shall be permitted in waters adjacent to and within the Park District, pursuant to ORC 1533.40
   (e)   No person shall take or remove any reptile or amphibians from any body of water within the boundaries of the Park District.
   (f)   All fishing guides are required to obtain a Park District permit to operate within the boundaries of the Park District.
   (g)   Fishing hours shall be 6:00 am until 11:00 pm, except for the wall at Scenic Marina, and the pier and break wall at the Lakefront Reservation, which shall be open twenty-four (24) hours.
   (h)   Ice fishing: Ice fishing is permitted, except in certain areas that are otherwise designated, and is at the user's sole and exclusive risk.
   (i)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a violation of Fishing Regulations, a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. If an offender has previously been convicted of this section, any subsequent violation of this section shall be a misdemeanor of the third degree.
