(A) No septic tank may be newly installed on any property within the village where public sewer service is reasonably available to such property.
(B) No existing septic tank may be repaired by any property owner within the village where public sewer service is reasonably available to the property being served by such system. Pumping of such tank and other routine maintenance of such system shall not be construed to constitute repair thereof.
(C) Criminal penalty. If any person shall violate this section, he or she shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than $500, subject to the provisions in G.S. § 14-4.
