For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
JUNK. Old scrap iron, scrap tin, scrap copper, scrap lead, scrap zinc, and all odds and ends of other scrap metal and their alloys, bones, old rags, cloth or rubber, rope, tin foil, old batteries, old cotton, mechanical and garden tools, utensils, fixtures, electrical appliances and supplies, gas fittings, pipes and supplies, and water fittings, pipes and supplies, sinks and commodes, water tanks and bathtubs and fittings and supplies thereto, lawn hose and harness, old dilapidated automobiles which are purchased for the purpose of being dismantled, and the parts, tires and tubes of such automobiles, or the odds and ends of any of such, and automobile casings, tubes and rims.
JUNK DEALER. Any person buying, selling, receiving for storage, retaining as pledge for the payment of moneys loaned, or in any other way acquiring or dealing in junk, as defined herein, for the purpose of profit or gain.
