In the event it is necessary for the Police Department, in the opinion of the Chief of Police, to furnish an escort to direct traffic along the route any structure thereof is being moved pursuant to a permit issued under this subchapter, the person moving such structure shall pay, for such escort, the sum of $1,000 for an eight- hour day; provided, however, that the minimum charge for a police escort shall be $250. Such charge shall be in addition to the permit fee.
