§ 35.07 HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION.
   (A)   Pursuant to the Texas Constitution, Art. VIII, Section 1-b, 10% of the market value of the residence homestead of a married or unmarried adult, including one living alone, shall be exempted from ad valorem taxation imposed by the city.
   (B)   Any person who makes a false affidavit in claiming homestead exemption shall be subject to all penalties and interest charges which accrue for lack of payment of taxes, and all other appropriate criminal penalties.
