The following words, when used in this subchapter, shall take precedence and shall have the meaning respectively ascribed to them in this section, unless the context of this subchapter clearly indicates otherwise. To the extent words used in this subchapter are defined by § 155.81 of this code, those definitions are incorporated into this section by reference. Words that are not defined in this subchapter shall have the meaning as defined by the city.
HISTORIC PRESERVATION DISTRICT. An area of the city designated by ordinance of the City Council which possesses within definable geographic boundaries, a significant concentration, linkage or continuity of sites, buildings or structures united historically or aesthetically by plan or physical development.
