§ 72.02  REGULATIONS ON ROADS AND STREETS.
   It shall be unlawful to stop, stand or park a vehicle or trailer upon any road or street, or park a vehicle on or across a sidewalk, private or public driveway in the town, except as hereinafter provided:
   (A)   In connection with utility maintenance, or residential construction, temporarily blocking of one side of the roadway is permitted for up to four hours, so long as free passage of vehicular traffic is permitted on the opposite side of the road or street and appropriate signage or temporary traffic cones are placed for the safe travel of other motorist upon the road or street; and
   (B)   If, for any period in excess of four hours as provided in paragraph A above, or for a total closure of the roadway required for utility maintenance or residential construction, a daily permit shall be secured from the Town Street and Sewer Superintendent at a cost of $50 per day, but in no event shall stopping or parking be permitted before sunrise or after sunset. For periods in excess of four hours or total closure, the utility or contractor shall also be required to post additional signage advising the motoring public of any required detour, and 24 hours in advance, shall advise Steuben County 911 and the Fremont Fire Department of any partial or total blockage of the roadway.
