§ 33.56 SUPERINTENDENT PURCHASES.
   The Superintendent may purchase in an amount not to exceed $2,000 material, equipment and supplies necessary for the operation of the Town Street Department, Sewage Department, or maintenance of the town buildings or grounds. In the case of an emergency, the Superintendent may authorize work not to exceed $5,000, when such expenditure is necessary in an emergency to provide for the health, welfare and safety of the residents of the town, subject to prior approval of the Council President, or other Council member in the absence of the President.
