(A) The fee charged by the town for any check, presented for the payment of any obligation owed to the town, which is dishonored or returned unpaid for any reason shall be equal to the maximum fee provided under I.C. 26-1-3.1-502.5.
(B) Should I.C. 26-1-3.1-502.5 be amended, the fee charged for a dishonored or returned check, as described in division (A) of this section, shall be computed under the language of I.C. 26-1-3.1-502.5 in place on the date the check is presented to the town for payment.
