9-2-5: DISCONTINUANCE OF SERVICE:
If a violation of this chapter exists or if there has not been any corrective action taken by the consumer within ten (10) days of the written notification of deficiencies noted within the survey, then the City shall deny or immediately discontinue service to the premises by providing a physical break in the service line until the customer has corrected the conditions in conformance with the State and City Statutes relating to plumbing, safe drinking water supplies and the regulations adopted, and the customer will be assessed a reconnection fee to restore service thereto. Water service may be discontinued immediately if, as determined by the Water Superintendent, or designee, that an incident has or may occur that compromises the public health and safety of others or the public water supply based on a real contamination or a risk of contamination to the public water supply.
