8-2-8: MUNICIPAL WORK EXCEPTED:
The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to excavations of any kind in city streets, bridges, sidewalks or other public ways which are conducted by city personnel with the direct supervision of the city engineer or other authorized representative of the city. (Ord. 84-01, 2-14-1984)
