6-3-10: ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR BURGLAR/INTRUSION ALARMS:
   A.   The sensory mechanism used in connection with alarm systems shall be adjusted to suppress false indication of intrusion so that the device will not be activated by impulses due to transient pressure changes in water pipes, short flashes of light, wind noise such as the rattling, whistling, or vibrating of doors or windows, vehicular noise adjacent to the installation, radio frequency energy, nonintrusive motion, or other forces unrelated to actual alarms.
   B.   All components comprising such a device must be maintained by the owner or occupant of the premises upon which it is installed so as to assure reliability of operation.
   C.   Vehicle audible alarms shall not sound for a period in excess of five (5) minutes.
   D.   All alarm systems shall be configured to eliminate false annunciation upon loss of commercial power. Each alarm system shall have an uninterruptable power supply which will sustain the alarm system for a minimum period of four (4) hours. (Ord. 2014-04, 4-8-2014)
