(A) It shall be the duty of the Clerk of the Board of Trustees to attend all meetings of the Board, regular or special; to record all proceedings of the Board in a book or books provided for that purpose; to countersign all warrants drawn on the Treasurer under seal of the town; to make out all licences authorized by the ordinances of the town and countersign the same under the seal of the town, and before issuing any license or warrant shall present the same to the Chairperson of the Board for signature and approval. He or she shall keep a full and complete record of all warrants and licenses issued in the name of the parties in whose favor they are drawn, including the dates, amounts, numbers and purpose for which drawn, and shall, on the first day of each month, or as soon thereafter as the same can be completed, and at such other times as the Board of Trustees may require, prepare a full and complete report of all warrants and licenses issued; also, of all monies collected belonging to the Town Clerk-Treasurer, and shall submit the same to the Board of Trustees at its first regular meeting in each and every month.
(B) The Town Clerk shall be the keeper of the Town Seal, and shall affix it to all papers which are required to be attested by the Town Seal. He or she shall have custody of and safely keep all records and documents of the town except as otherwise provided by law.
(C) The Town Clerk shall be appointed in the manner provided for by law and shall receive a salary of $300 per year, payable monthly at the rate of $25 per month.
