All equipment for the use of manufactured and/or liquefied petroleum gases shall be inspected by the Inspector and approved by him or her before being placed in service, and all the equipment that may be in service on the date of the adoption of this subchapter shall be inspected by the Inspector within 10 days from the date of the adoption of this subchapter, and shall be made to comply with the rules and regulations of the Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., and the National Board of Fire Underwriters, and shall have the approval of the Inspector before they may be further used. All equipment for the use of manufactured and/or liquefied petroleum gases in the town shall be inspected every 90 days after the adoption of this subchapter, and should they be found defective or in a condition as to create a hazard to persons or property, they shall be sealed so as to prevent their further use until the defect or dangerous condition has been corrected.
