The Town Marshal, or any police officer of the town, is hereby designated as Inspector to examine trucks and trailers for the above specified purposes. It shall be his or her duty to see that each license or temporary permit is prominently displayed inside the cab of each truck upon the windshield thereof. Should the Inspector observe that any truck, or truck and trailer, so licensed is being used to display any of the goods, wares and merchandise for sale under the circumstances as shall constitute in his or her judgment a fraud upon the citizens of the town, it shall be his or her duty to report the same to the Mayor, who shall in his or her discretion report the same to the Board of Trustees, which shall, after 5 days’ notice in writing of the hearing sent through the United States mail to the address of the licensee or permittee shown in his or her application for the license, in its discretion revoke any license or temporary permit.
