(A) Each water service of any size has a stop in the service line, either a curb stop, or a valve. If such stop or valve is closed off by representatives of the municipal water system, such valves are not to be opened by anyone until the proper application and deposits are made.
(B) Damaging a water meter or water meter dial or breaking the glass on a water meter dial shall be paid for by person damaging same.
(C) Breaking or damaging water meter box locks shall be paid for by the person responsible.
(D) No person, other than Municipal Water Department employees and licensed plumbers, should attempt to open a water meter box or turn off a service valve that is in the water system of any service. Anyone breaking such valve or meter must pay cost of new valve.
