Any areas of land within the proposed subdivision which lie either wholly or in part within the floodplain of a river, stream, creek or lake, or any other areas which are subject to flooding or inundation by stormwater shall require specific compliance with the Subdivision Act and its review by the Water Resources Commission of the MDEQ and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The Township Engineer will give particular attention to projected floodplain when considering the adequacy of land for building sites.
