1-11-6: RESERVES CREATED:
   A.   Endowment Reserve: For the purpose of providing for the perpetual care and maintenance of lots and graves of city cemeteries, there is created an "endowment reserve", to be so named. Fifty percent (50%) of all revenues from the sale of cemetery lots shall be placed in the endowment reserve. The endowment reserve may be invested in the same manner as is allowed by state law for public funds. The interest only from investment of the endowment reserve may be appropriated as a resource of the cemetery operating budget. (1996 Code § 2.20.070)
   B.   Expansion Reserve: For the purpose of providing for capital improvements and expansion of city cemeteries, there is created an "expansion reserve", to be so named. Revenues from the sale of timber harvested on cemetery property and such other revenues as the city council may wish to commit to future improvements may be placed in the expansion reserve. Principal and interest may be appropriated as the city council deems necessary. (1996 Code § 2.20.080)
