5-2-1: CURFEW:
   A.   Applicability: No person under eighteen (18) years of age shall be on a street, highway, park, alley or other public place between the hours specified in subsection B of this section, unless: (1996 Code § 9.28.010)
      1.   The minor is accompanied by a parent, step parent, guardian or other person twenty one (21) years of age or over and authorized by the parent, legal guardian or by law to have custody of the minor. (1996 Code § 9.28.010; amd. 2004 Code)
      2.   The minor is then engaged in traveling through the city or going directly to or from employment, school, religious activity or a school sanctioned event.
      3.   The minor has been emancipated pursuant to the provisions of state law. (1996 Code § 9.28.010)
   B.   Curfew Hours: For the purpose of this section, the applicable hours of curfew are between ten o'clock (10:00) P.M. and four o'clock (4:00) A.M. of the following morning for Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday nights, the curfew shall be between the hours of twelve o'clock (12:00) midnight and four o'clock (4:00) A.M. the following morning. (1996 Code § 9.28.020)
   C.   Parental Responsibility: No parent, guardian or other person having legal custody of a minor under the age of eighteen (18) years shall permit the minor to be in violation of this section. (1996 Code § 9.28.030; amd. 2004 Code)
   D.   Public Authority: Any police officer is authorized to take a minor violating a provision of subsection A of this section into custody as provided by Oregon Revised Statutes 419C.080. (1996 Code § 9.28.040; amd. 2004 Code)
