A. Any person violating this chapter, unless otherwise stated, shall be punished as allowed for an infraction, and subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code.
B. Upon the trial of any offense under this chapter, the court may, upon conviction and in addition to the usual judgment of conviction, order the animal control officer or other authorized personnel of the municipality to put the dog or other animal to death, or may order such other disposition of the dog or other animal as will protect the inhabitants of the municipality.
C. Any person issued a delinquent dog registration citation must exhibit to the court clerk, a certificate of registry, showing that the license imposed by section 5-1-4 of this chapter has been paid for such animal before payment of citation can be made.
