5-1-5: KENNELS:
   A.   Commercial Kennels; Prohibited: It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to operate or maintain a commercial kennel, including, but not limited to, veterinary clinics and animal shelters. (Ord. 13-01, 3-5-2013)
   B.   Noncommercial Kennels; Permitted: It is lawful for any person wanting to own more than three (3) dogs per household, as outlined in the town zoning ordinance, to obtain a kennel license changing the number of dogs allowed per household to six (6).
   C.   Kennel License Fee:
      1.   Any person conducting, operating, or maintaining a dog kennel shall pay to the town an annual fee in such amount as established by resolution of the town council.
      2.   The kennel license fee herein required may be changed from time to time by resolution of the town council.
   D.   Rules Established: The town council may promulgate rules and regulations covering the conduct and operation of all kennels within the town by resolution.
   E.   Violation: Persons will be allowed to operate a noncommercial kennel until such time as:
      1.   The number of dogs maintained in the kennel is increased to more than six (6); or
      2.   Proper requirements for licensing or vaccination as provided for in this chapter are not met; or
      3.   Licensing and kennel fees are not paid. (Ord. 11-02, 3-22-2011)
