9-4-4: ESTABLISHMENT OF HOUSING ADVISORY AND APPEALS BOARD:
In order to interpret the provisions of the residential code and to hear appeals provided for hereunder, there is hereby established the housing advisory and appeals board, consisting of five (5) members, who shall not be employees of the town. The building inspector shall be an ex officio member of and shall act as secretary to the board. The housing advisory and appeals board may adopt reasonable rules and regulations for conducting its business. Its decisions and findings shall be in writing, copies of which shall go to the appellant and to the building official. Appeals to the board shall be processed in accordance with the provisions contained in residential code. Copies of all rules or regulations adopted by the board shall be delivered to the building official who shall make them available to the public without cost. (1976 Code § 9-655; amd. 2003 Code)
