A. The general plan will serve as an advisory guide regarding the use and future development of all land within the corporate boundaries of the town. The size and design of lots, the nature of utilities, the design and improvements of streets, the type and intensity of land use, and the provisions for any facilities in any subdivision shall be evaluated against the land uses shown and the standards established in the general plan, the zoning ordinance, and other applicable ordinances.
B. Trees, native land cover, natural watercourses, and topography shall be preserved where possible. Subdivisions shall be so designed as to prevent excessive grading and scarring of the landscape. The design of new subdivisions shall consider, and relate to, existing street widths, alignments and names unless determined otherwise by the town. (Ord. 22-06, 8-16-2022)
