8-1-20: WATER LINES:
   A.   Connection, Repair, Alteration And Installation:
      1.   It is unlawful for any person to lay, repair, alter or connect any water line to the municipal culinary water system without first having received a construction permit from the office of the town clerk or from the water supervisor. The water supervisor may inspect any work allowed by permit, as herein provided. This is not intended to prohibit a property owner or water user from maintaining or installing water lines that are not owned by the town. Any such maintenance must be done in accordance with applicable regulations. (Ord. 02-01, 10-10-2002; amd. Ord. 14-01, 1-7-2014)
      2.   In order to provide minimum water pressure to Clarkston (as per "Utah Administrative Rules For Public Drinking Water Systems Rule: R309-105-9, Minimum Water Pressure", and "Clarkston Utah Culinary Water Impact Fee Analysis section 7.1 paragraph 2") any buildings with plumbing fixtures above five thousand feet (5,000') mean sea level shall not be allowed to connect to the Clarkston Town culinary water system. Developments with plumbing fixtures above five thousand feet (5,000') mean sea level will be required to provide public water infrastructure as required and directed by the town. The infrastructure will become property of Clarkston Town. The infrastructure may include, but not be limited to, tanks, transmission lines, pump stations, and distribution water lines.    B.   Moving Or Replacement: In the event that the municipality in its sole discretion determines that any water line of the municipality must be moved or replaced, the municipality shall bear that portion of the cost of such move or replacement which applies to the main lines up to the property line of the customer. The cost of reconnecting such new line or lines from the house of the customer to his property line shall be borne by the customer. (Ord. 02-01, 10-10-2002)
