§ 52.008 FEES AND COLLECTIONS.
   The governing body has the power and authority to fix the rates to be paid by the customers of the Sewer Department quarterly at the same time and in the same manner as the water rates are collected. Charges shall be delinquent 20 days after the due date. Upon being deemed delinquent, the chief sewer official shall proceed to give notice to the delinquent customer and demand payment immediately. In the event the said bill is not paid within seven days after sending such written notice, it shall be discretionary with the chief sewer official to cut off service immediately; provided, that if the delinquent customer in a known welfare recipient, it shall be the duty of the chief sewer official to notify the customer and the County Welfare Department by certified mail of the proposed termination.
