(A) Intent. The intent of this chapter is the control of soil erosion and sedimentation caused by land disturbing activities in the county. Measures taken to control erosion and sedimentation should assure that sediment is not transported from a site by storm events.
(B) Authority. This chapter is adopted under the authority granted by I.C. 36-1-4-11, 36-7-4, and all acts supplemental and mandatory thereto.
(1) This authority provides for the administration, enforcement and amendment of this chapter for controlling soil erosion and sedimentation in the county.
(2) The Board of County Commissioners designates the County Drainage Board to administer and enforce this chapter.
