The Highway Supervisor shall be qualified to carry out the county highway construction and maintenance plans, be capable of understanding the plans and specifications and possess the ability to supervise the personnel employed in the County Highway Department. The County Highway Supervisor shall be employed for a term of not longer than four years. The Board shall not discharge a Supervisor during his or her term of office, except for cause.
