(A) Parking prohibited on county roads.
(1) No person shall park, stop, leave or abandon any motor vehicle on the traveled portion of any road or highway constructed or maintained by the County Board of Commissioners. Further, no person shall park, stop, abandon or leave any motor vehicle on the county right-of-way or easement within five feet of the traveled portion of said road or highway; provided, however, that in the case of a residential or business district as defined in this traffic code, no person shall park, stop or abandon any motor vehicle on a county right-of-way so as to block any portion of a lane of traffic not designed for parking unless directed to do so by an official traffic-control device, or when waiting to enter a parking space.
(2) Provided, this section shall not apply to a motor vehicle stalled or disabled in such a manner that it can not be safely or reasonably moved to comply if the driver makes effort to remove the vehicle as soon as reasonably possible.
(B) Standing or parking prohibited at alleys. No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle on a street in any manner which would restrict full access to any alley.
(C) Parking for certain purposes prohibited. No person shall park a vehicle upon any roadway for the principal purpose of displaying such vehicle for sale, greasing or repairing such vehicle except repairs necessitated by an emergency.
(D) Obedience to parking signs or markings. In those locations that have been officially signed or marked for parking on the streets, no person shall park or stand a vehicle other than within any markings and at the orientation indicated by such signs or marking.
(E) Yellow curbs. The County Commissioners are authorized to designate no-parking areas with yellow paint and/or signs. The painting of a curb or area with yellow paint will constitute notice to the public that parking is prohibited. No person shall park or stand a vehicle adjacent to any such yellow line when it is visible.
(F) Parking; obstructing traffic removal of vehicle. The Sheriff of the county, or any law enforcement officer having jurisdiction, shall have right and authority to remove any motor vehicle parked, stopped or abandoned in violation of this traffic code. The cost of removal shall be borne by the vehicle’s owner.
