A. Permit Required; Exception: No person shall use any street, alley, sidewalk or other public way to relocate any building within the village without first obtaining a permit from the village and providing a bond as established by the village manager adequate to ensure that the permittee is capable of curing all damages to persons or property reasonably foreseeable by the relocation. Provided, however, that nothing in this section shall apply to the removal of a building from one part or portion of a lot to another part of the same lot, where such building is not to be moved over or across any premises except those of the owner or proprietor of such building, nor over or across any street, alley, or other public way or place. B. Fees: Fees for such relocations or house movings shall be assessed according to the schedule of fees in schedule S21 of this code. Cost recovery provisions of chapter 11 of this code shall also apply to this section for manpower and equipment costs incurred to facilitate such relocations via the public streets. (Ord. 90-03-03)
