A. Preliminary Discussion: The village shall review all proposed developments subject to this chapter with the park district and affected school districts for the purpose of identifying possible park land and school grounds requirements and locations in relation to the comprehensive plan of the village, park district's comprehensive park and recreation plan and/or the master plan, or the comprehensive school plan and/or the standards adopted by the affected school district.
B. Preliminary Plat Review: Preliminary subdivision plans shall be reviewed by the park and school districts and the park and school district's written comments shall be submitted to the plan commission during the plan commission's review process of said preliminary subdivision. Preliminary calculations of park land and school grounds acreage requirements pertaining to the subdivision shall be provided to the village by the park and school districts. The park and school district's written comments regarding the development and park land and school grounds requirements shall be submitted to the village within fifteen (15) days after receipt of notice from the village.
C. Final Plat Approval: If a park land or school grounds dedication is to be made, the final plat of subdivision shall depict the land proposed for park or school purposes.
If a cash contribution in lieu of park land or school grounds dedication is required, then prior to or simultaneously with the approval of the final plat of subdivision the developer shall remit payment to the village of the cash amount to be contributed for that final plat.
