13.2: LICENSES:
   A.   License Required: No person shall keep, harbor, own, or otherwise maintain a dog or cat more than four (4) months old in the Village without obtaining a license therefor and paying the annual fee required for such license. The keeping of any unlicensed dog or cat required by this Section to be licensed is hereby declared a nuisance. (Ord. 95-11-33)
   B.   Application: Applications for a dog and/or cat license shall be accompanied by a veterinarian certificate showing that the animal in question has been given rabies inoculation shots which will effectively immunize said animal during the remainder of the calendar year in which the license was issued. The application shall be on the form provided by the Village, and shall contain the name and address or the owner or keeper, name, breed, sex or whether neutered, and color of each animal proposed to be licensed.    C.   Term: The license year shall commence on July 1 and end on June 30 of each year. (Ord. 92-11-20; amd. 2000 Code)
   D.   New Residents: New residents of the Village shall have thirty (30) days to obtain a Village dog and/or cat license.
   E.   License Nontransferable: No person may transfer a dog and/or cat license from one dog and/or cat to another.
   F.   Displaying License: Every owner of a dog and/or cat shall firmly secure a current Village animal license to the licensed dog and/or cat by means of a collar prior to July 31 of each year. (Ord. 92-11-20)
   G.   License Fee:
      (1)   Annual License: A license fee in accordance with Section S13.3 of this Code for each animal shall be paid for issuance of an annual dog and/or cat license.
      (2)   Prorated Fee: The license fee in Section S13.4 of this Code for any owner who is first required to apply for a license on or after January 1 in any year shall be one-half (1/2) of the annual amount. (Ord. 92-11-20; amd. 2000 Code)
      (3)   Duplicate License: When any valid license is lost or destroyed, the person to whom the license was issued shall apply for a replacement tag, to be issued upon affirmation of the license application data and payment of the fee set forth in Schedule S13 of this Code. (Ord. 92-11-20)
