A. Responsibility For False Alarms: Each person, firm or corporation holding a permit for the operation or maintenance of an automatic signaling device shall be responsible for any false alarms transmitted by the device which they operate or maintain. The Chief of Police or Fire Chief shall maintain a record of all false alarms so transmitted, and pursuant to the procedures set forth in subsection 40.3H of this chapter, shall revoke or suspend the permit for the operation of an automatic signaling device involved in the transmission of four (4) false alarms in any one (1) year, and shall make reasonable charges therefor in accordance with section S40.2 of this Code.
B. Failure To Notify Working On System: Any person who fails to notify the Police or Fire Department prior to working on any alarm system shall be subject to issuance of a citation and subject to a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00). The permit holder shall be responsible for any false alarm fee caused by such unauthorized activity. (Ord. 17-03-05)
