§ 130.01 ATTEMPTS TO COMMIT AN OFFENSE.
   Every person who attempts to commit an offense against the ordinances of the city, and in such attempt does any act toward the commission of such offense, but fails or is prevented or intercepted in the perpetration thereof, is guilty of an offense, and such offense shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding one-half of the largest fine which may be imposed upon a conviction of the offense so attempted.
