§ 92.13 IMPOUNDMENT PERSONS AUTHORIZED.
   The shelter supervisor, Animal Control Officer, police officer or person designated by the Chief of Police may be authorized to take into custody and impound any animal running at large in violation of any provisions of this chapter or any other ordinances of the city, and may enter upon the premises of the owner or other private premises to take such animal into custody. In the event that an animal illegally at large cannot be caught by a reasonable effort, and such animal is not vicious or rabid under the terms of this chapter, an attempt shall be made to notify the owner of such animal to catch the animal. Any other person may take such animal into custody and present it to the authority in charge of the shelter for impounding. The Animal Control Officers have the ability to issue citations for the city ordinances that have been violated.
