§ 52.230 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   DEFECTIVE SERVICE LINE. A line transporting wastewater from a user facility to the public wastewater collection system which allows the entrance of infiltration and/or inflow.
   INFILTRATION.  Water entering the POTW at any location, public or private, by permeation through the ground and subsequent entry through defective pipes, pipe joints, connections, and manhole walls or similar means of passage.
   INFLOW. Water entering the POTW at any location, public or private, by means of surface stormwater or irrigation runoff. INFLOW includes piped transportation of such waters.
   PROHIBITED CONNECTION.  Any piping arrangement or transportation system that conveys ground water, storm water or irrigation runoff or any condensate to the public wastewater collection system.
