§ 50.13 ELECTRIC METERS.
   All meters for the measuring of electrical energy consumed shall be installed by the city after the customer has had all wiring done at his or her own expense, including the meter loop, and all lamps or other apparatus connected ready for use. All meter loops shall be so wired that the meter can be sealed in a specially made metallic box for such purpose. All meter loops shall be so arranged and located that there is sufficient room to install any type of meter not less than five feet nor more than six feet above the ground, and where there is no vibration. There shall be a continuous metallic service from the location of the meter to a point where the service connects to the lines of the city. All meters shall remain the sole and exclusive property of the city and shall not be tampered with, altered or damaged in any way by any person. Such meters may be removed from the consumer's premises at any time without notice for the purpose of testing or repairing the same or upon discontinuance of service.
