Consistent with all applicable federal and state laws, the city hereby adopts the 1996 City of Claremore Merit System (hereinafter referred to as the “merit system”), which consists of the City of Claremore Merit Employment Study, 1996 Edition, the City of Claremore Classification and Compensation Study, 1996 Edition, and the City of Claremore Salary Administration Guidelines, 1996 Edition, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to govern the establishment, regulation and maintenance of the merit system necessary for the effective administration of the employees of the city’s departments, offices and agencies, including, but not limited to, classification and pay plans, examinations for employment and promotions, reduction in force, removals, working conditions, provisional and exempt appointments, in-service training, grievances and relationships with employee organization.
