Emergency Medical Technicians who have appropriate training and are qualified to serve as fire fighters are hereby permitted to serve as fire fighters when necessary. These trained personnel are permitted to use all fire fighting equipment and vehicles when carrying out such fire fighter duties and shall be supervised by the fire officer or officers in charge.
