125.03 ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF LAW.
   (a)   Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 733.51, there is hereby established a full-time position of Assistant Director of Law and a part-time position of Assistant Director of Law for the City who shall be appointed by the Director of Law.
   (b)   The Assistant Director may be designated by the Director to perform any or all of the following services:
      (1)   Represent the State as a prosecuting attorney, pursuant to Ohio R.C. 2901.01 and 733.51, and file complaints and represent the State and City in matters relating to arraignments, motions, bond hearings, preliminary hearings, criminal and traffic cases and such other like matters as come before the Director;
      (2)   Consult with and advise law enforcement officers as needed and requested for the purpose of properly advising such officers in the administration of their duties;
      (3)   Provide research and preparation of State and City cases for trial, and prosecute such trials; and
      (4)   Provide the Director with any and all other assistance that may be requisite in the fulfillment of his or her statutory duties.
   (c)   The Assistant Director shall be licensed to practice law in the State and shall receive compensation as determined from time to time by Council.

   (d)   The part-time position of Assistant Director of Law shall be paid for hours actually worked and shall not receive health insurance benefits, holiday, sick or vacation paid benefits.
   (e)   The Part-time position of Assistant Director of Law shall be an exempt, permanent part-time, non-union position and shall be paid from the various personnel services accounts within the Department of the City Law Director.
   (f)   There is hereby established a full-time position of Assistant Director of Law in the Department of the Law Director which shall be an exempt, permanent full-time, non-union position and be paid under Pay Grade 7 of the Uniform Compensation Act for the non-bargaining unit employees.
