1330.04 EXCEPTIONS FOR RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTORS.
   (a)   Minor Work. A registered contractor may work on the existing footprint of the home, or perform minor home improvements including minor repairs to HVAC, electrical systems, or plumbing without a State license issued pursuant to Ohio R.C. Chapter 4740.
   (b)   Limitation. Registration as a residential contractor shall NOT authorize:
      (1)   Work on any structures other than residences, or
      (2)   Work requiring a State license pursuant to Ohio R.C. Chapter 4740.
   (c)   Code Compliance. All residential work shall be in compliance with the Ohio Basic Building Code or the Council of American Building Officials Code as applicable to the work.
