1305.05 INSPECTIONS.
   (a)    Types of Inspections. For on-site construction, from time to time, the Building Inspector, upon notification from the permit holder or his agent, shall make or cause to be made any necessary inspections and shall either approve that portion of the construction as completed or shall notify the permit holder or his agent in explicit detail wherein the same fails to comply with this Code.
To schedule an inspection the permit holder or his agent shall notify the Building Department not less than 24 hours in advance of the time when the work will be ready for inspection. Failure of the Building Inspector to inspect the work within 72 hours, exclusive of Saturday, Sunday, and legal holidays, from the scheduled inspection date as requested by permit holder permits the owner to proceed with the work.
   (b)    Additional Inspections. In addition to the inspections required under the provisions of the OBOA Code, the following inspections shall be required in all building construction where applicable:
(1)   Slab Inspection. Made before the slab is poured, but after installation of the reinforcing and the vapor barrier.
(2)   Insulation and Vapor Barrier. Made after insulation and vapor barrier have been completely installed.
   (c)    Approval Required. Except as hereinabove noted, work shall not be done on any part of the building or structure beyond the point indicated in each successive inspection without first obtaining the written approval of the Building Inspector. Such written approval shall be given only after an inspection shall have been made of each successive step in the construction as indicated by each of the inspections required above.
In addition to any other penalty provided for in this Code, the permit holder may be caused to expose, at his expense, any work which is covered without the approval of the Building Inspector.
   (d)    Evidence of Lot Boundaries. The Building Inspector may request, and if requested, the permit holder shall provide evidence of all lot boundaries of the premises involved in the construction.
