(a) Effective immediately, the composition of the Circleville EMS shall be composed of the following positions that shall receive salaries provided for by ordinance:
(1) One full time Chief who shall also have responsibilities to provide EMS services.
(2) Two full-time employees.
In addition to the employees listed above, the EMS shall maintain a roster of volunteers to perform EMS services. These volunteers may be provided a per run stipend and other nominal benefits in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 U.S.C. Section 201, et seq.
(b) The EMS Chief shall be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Circleville EMS consistent with applicable laws and rules and regulations governing such operations. The EMS Chief shall have supervisory authority for all employees and volunteers within the Circleville EMS.
(c) The Mayor shall have the authority to appoint and remove the EMS Chief. The EMS Chief shall report to the Safety Director.
