(a) There is hereby established, in accordance with the powers granted pursuant to Ohio R.C. Chapter 729, a City Sidewalk Commission, which shall consist of five members as follows: the Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission and four citizens of the City who shall serve without compensation and who shall be appointed by the Mayor for a term of two years, except that the terms of two of the citizen members first appointed shall be for terms of three years. The Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission shall serve as Chairperson for this Commission.
(b) Members of the Commission shall be removable for nonperformance of duty, misconduct in office, or other cause by the Mayor after the member has been given the opportunity to be heard and to answer such charges.
